Where can I find a map of the course?

Where can I pick up my child's shirt and bib on race day?
Race day packet pickup can be found in the inflatable Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama tent in the field designated Start Line Meetup on the map.

Where do children meet to start the race?
Runners will gather by grade in the field designated Start Line Meetup on the map. Lineup will be by grade and kids should gather by the tent corresponding to their shirt color. Children running with parents gather at the checkered tent and run in the final wave.

Can parents run with their child?
Parents must register to run with their child and will start in the final mixed wave of the race. Parents must have a PARENT race bib or will not be allowed on the course. To register and receive a PARENT bib on race day please visit the BCBSAL inflatable tent in the start line meetup field. No strollers, younger siblings or pets on the course.

Where are the best areas to view my child during the event?
Parents may watch from behind barricaded areas all along the course, but we recommend enjoying the big finish in the stadium. Spectators will have the closest view of the finish line from the guest bleachers in the stadium and will also have a great view of their child entering the track by watching the jumbotron from the home side of the stadium.

Will there be food and drink availble?
Paticipants will receive Powerade at the finishline. Spectators can buy food and beverages from food trucks outside. A percentge of food sales from all vendors wlll go to support student programs at Spain Park High School.

Where to I pick up my child after the race?
Pickup corrals will be located in the endzone in the stadium. Go to the corral number highlited on the claim tag found on the top of your child’s bib. You MUST have the parent claim tag from the top of your child’s bib in order to pick up - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Will the race be postponed if it rains?
This event i rain-or-shine and will not be rescheduled for another day. Start times will only be postponed in the event of severe weather that will clear. The race will only be cancelled in the event of extended severe weather threats. If it is only raining the event wil start on time.

How can I contact staff on race day?
For any questions or help on race day please visit the inflatable BCBSAL arch in the area near te start line. We will not be monitoring any email, fax or phone calls on race day.

My child is unable to attend the race. Can they still receive their medal?
Unfortunatly, no. Medals are only given to students who complete their final mile a our live event. We understand many families face scheduling conflicts, illness and other valid reasons their child can’t attend by no fault of their own, but it is impossible to track and fill these requests after the event.

What time will my child's grade start the race?
OFFICIAL START TIMES WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY EMAIL THE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT. TIMES SHOWN BELOW ARE TBD.
We recommend arriving early to ensure your child is in place before their start time.
10:30 a.m. – 5th graders (black t-shirts)
10:45 a.m. – 4th graders (yellow t-shirts)
11:00 a.m. – 3rd graders (green t-shirts)
11:15 a.m. – 2nd graders (white t-shirts)
11:30 a.m. – 1st graders (blue t-shirts)
11:45 a.m. – Kindergarteners (red t-shirts)
NOON – Children Running with Parents – All grades K-5th

Where should we park?
The event map shows two free public parking areas. Overflow parking is also available at nearby Berry Middle School.
